Nisha Patel ("we", "us", "our") operates the Bible Malayalam mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. No Account Required

The Malayalam version of the App works as a guest reader. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or password. There are no social or community features in this version.

2. Information We Collect

  • Anonymous device identifier. We generate a random device ID to save your subscription status and app preferences. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
  • Purchase and subscription information. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive and store your subscription/purchase status (and the Apple transaction receipt) so we can enable Premium features and restore your purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • AI "Ask Divine" content. When you use Ask Divine, the verse text and questions you submit are sent to our servers and to an AI processing service to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal information in your queries.
  • Usage and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Analytics to collect app-usage events, feature usage, approximate usage time, and crash/diagnostic information to improve the App.
  • Push notification token. If you enable notifications, OneSignal provides a device push token so we can send Verse of the Day and reminder notifications.
  • Advertising data. For non-premium users, Google AdMob serves ads and may access your device's advertising identifier and related data, subject to your Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) choice and your consent (collected via Google's User Messaging Platform where required). Apple's SKAdNetwork is used to measure ad performance without identifying you.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

Your highlights, notes, bookmarks, journal entries, and reading progress are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, this on-device data is removed.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: provide and operate the App; enable and restore Premium purchases; generate AI responses; send notifications you opt into; show and measure ads to free users; analyze and improve performance and stability.

6. Advertising & Your Choices (ATT)

When first shown, you can allow or decline app tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Premium users do not see ads.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention & International Transfer

Subscription status and AI-request data are processed on our servers (located in India) and retained only as long as needed for the purposes described. By using the App, you consent to this international processing.

9. Security

Data transmitted between the App and our servers is protected using HTTPS and additional encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Your Rights & Deletion

You may request deletion of any data associated with your device identifier by emailing us. To stop all future collection, delete the App and disable notifications/tracking in iOS Settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
